Hey! I’m Vanessa Dunleavy
ARTIST, EDUCATOR, MOTHER, GOOFBALL, CLOSET HGTV FANATIC
In my experience,
embodiment and expression are inextricably linked. When I started my training in musical theater, I didn’t understand this.
I tried to…
SING from my throat up
DANCE from my neck down
ACT from outside of my body
….AND IT LED TO INJURY. FOLLOWED BY DEPRESSION. BODY DYSMORPHIA AND A HEALTHY DOSE OF IMPOSTER SYNDROME
It was through practicing
yoga that I began
to understand:
a friendly relationship with my
body and a fulfilling creative
life are dependent upon each other.
As it turns out,
embodied expression
is a lifelong journey.
How rude.
For me, the practices of yoga, voice work, and massage not only make this journey possible, they make it a joy.
And that’s what I do with my clients.
I offer one on one:
Are you ready to live a more
embodied and expressive life?
