YOGA

Start where you are.

How many times have you committed to working out regularly…only to find a few weeks later that you’ve
stopped? You’ve lost interest. Or the will. Or the time.
Or [insert unpredictable life event here.]

My magic power

lies in helping you develop a movement practice that inspires
you to keep moving.

I pride myself on meeting people where they are. So whether you are an advanced practitioner, or brand new to yoga, we’ll design a program together that not only feels good and gets you results, but also lights you up!

Because if movement
doesn’t bring us joy,
we won’t do it.
Period.

That’s the power of private yoga.

It’s tailored to evolve with your body,

lifestyle, schedule and spirit.

  • I have had the pleasure of working with Vanessa for a couple of months for ongoing back and leg issues. In addition to her expertise as a yoga instructor, she is patient, funny, accessible, and underscores the work she does with very clear explanations of the 'whys' and 'hows' of the exercises. I look forward to continued collaboration!

  • Vanessa Dunleavy provided customized care for my body...personal, specific to me and my situation...in my space, at my pace. Contact Vanessa to discover movements that are available to you and coaching that accommodates your way to become more comfortable in your body.

  • Vanessa’s one on one sessions provided me with the insights I needed to move forward. Her knowledge of breath work and holistic interconnectedness of how the body works, adjusts and reacts to trauma and emotion is a welcome integration in the health field.

People choose private yoga for a number of reasons:

  • You want to develop a yoga practice, but don’t know where to start

  • You’re working with limited range of motion or an injury

  • Group classes make you uncomfortable

  • You want to refine your practice with one-on-one attention

  • You’re pregnant, or postnatal

  • Your schedule doesn’t align with group class times

Ever the anatomy enthusiast, I’m joined in my studio by a model skeleton, named Lucille.

I find that having a visual is helpful to illustrate and demystify how movement occurs at the joints. I’ve had a long term love affair with the bones, and Miss Lucy allows me to share it with you in a really accessible way. Plus, she has a winning personality- you’ll love her.

I offer in-person sessions at my home studio in Middlebury, VT, as well as online sessions via Zoom.

I look forward to
connecting with you!
