THAI
MASSAGE

Tune in with touch

Thai Massage is an ancient healing practice

used in Thai medicine to promote health and overall wellbeing. During a session, the recipient is guided through a series of supine, side-lying, and prone postures while the practitioner works along the body’s energy lines. These “Sen” lines, similar to the Chinese meridians, are internal pathways for prana, or “life force.”

Thai Massage is done on the floor

in comfortable clothes, to allow for ease of movement. You can expect stretching, palming, acupressure, rocking and compression during a session. It’s often referred to as “lazy man’s yoga.”  Which is not inaccurate…as the recipient’s job is to do nothing. However the benefits are many: improved circulation, relief of muscular tension, better sleep, improved digestion and an energetically balanced body.

  • Vanessa uses her deep understanding of how the body moves and her grounding touch to facilitate length and relaxation. All systems reconnect here. I felt held and supported in both mind and body.

  • An excellent massage! Not only does it feel great, but the way pressure is applied is much better than a “regular” massage. It felt like a deep, slow yoga class without any effort. I go back regularly.

including you.”
